Boxcar should be at the top of your list this week. Now, I normally have a strong dislike for donuts! It’s not that they are bad, they are just a little too sweet sometimes and I can never finish them . That was until Boxcar. I crave their donuts, well a specific one to be exact. I absolutely love the cannoli donut. It is to die for. It’s not to sugary, it’s not too big, everyone I’ve had has been perfect. It’s filled and topped with cannoli filling, some chocolate drizzle and a cannoli shell on the top.

I have woken up Sunday mornings at eight am craving these donuts and I have dragged mt butt out of bed to get these babies. They carry many options including vegan and gluten free I believe, and one day I will try them all, because they all looking amazing, but those damn cannoli’s get me every time.
As much as I love their donuts, Boxcar also makes a very good chicken sandwich, like very good. It’s a crispy chicken sandwich with your choice of sauce, btw I highly recommend that chipotle mayo sauce! As well as your choice of sides (I always go with the fries but the grits and coleslaw are amazing as well).
I also am pretty boring so I love my sandwiches plain, which makes them my favorite location as their staple chicken sandwich is plain.
You’ll fall in love with their location. It modern industrial, and there are dinosaurs (see if you can spot them). The staff is amazing and so sweet every time I go in which always adds to the pleasant experience. The parking lot directly across from the storefront is free for patrons so be sure to check out the sign on Boxcar’s counter for the pin.
