It's a cult classic
Nars Orgasm, at this point it is a household name if you have anyone even slightly interested in makeup living with you. No other blush has gotten the name recognition that Nar’s has been able to create with this shade of blush. A cult classic and a staple in most women and men’s makeup bags. For good reason to, this blush shade can compliment just about everyone’s skin color, and Nars knows it to, which is why they have made an entire collection surrounding their number one hit.
The shade Nars Orgasm can be brought in multiple formulas, the original and most popular being powdered, and now available in liquid and stick. Which ever formula is your preference they have you covered.
Nars Orgasm is a soft peachy pink color with gold flecks, and I will be the first to say I hate glitters in my face products but these gold flecks are different. Everything in this color seems to blend and melt so effortlessly into your skin. The gold flecks produce this glow from within effect and the pink shade is so healthy and vibrant.
A quick sweep of this shade at the top of your cheekbones and you instantly look brighter, more awake, and healthier.
Now with a product this good there has to be a down side, right? Well many feel $30 for a blush is an unnecessary luxury, and I can not argue with that, it is not the cheapest blush you can get by any means. To be honest for some droping $30 on anything that is not food or utilities is a hundred percent no and I can fully understand and respect that. This product is definitely a want not a need.
Lucky for you, as the popularity of Nars Orgasm rose so did the dupes. Let me tell you there is quite a selection of Nars Orgasm Dupes to pick from but I have gathered the top best 3.
I feel like e.l.f. maybe the queen of dupe list, they always make the list some way some how and that is not an exception today. Coming in at three dollars e.l.f. is the least expensive Nars Orgasm Dupe. The pros of this product is that it is only three dollars vs. thirty dollars which if you are working with a budget makes a big difference. An alternative pro is ease of access, Nars is not a brand you can find anywhere, due to it being a high end line, now e.l.f. on the other hand is found readily in grocery stores, Target, Walgreens, etc. You do not have to go out of your way to find e.l.f.
Now the cons because there are always cons no matter how expensive or inexpensive a product it. Longevity. e.l.f does not have the same formula as Nars, the quality of their ingredients is not as high, thus the price difference. With that change in formula that lasting power of said product becomes effected. Not only the last power but also the way in which it blends into the skin as well as how it sits on the skin.
If you were thinking about this dupe you may have to perform multiple touch ups throughout the day. If you are someone that does touch ups any way then this really does not effect you, however if you are the type of person to apply your make up in the morning and you are done for the day then this product may not be the right fir for you.
When ever you look up Nars Orgasm Blush Dupe, Milani’s Baked Blush in Dolce Pink will be there. One of the closets dupes I have seen and coming in at only seven dollars. One of my favorite things about this dupe is that the packaging is better quality then most other dupes. I love Nars packaging of their blushes, it is a soft matte completely black texture, looks very elegant, but it only stays pretty for so long. Any residue from your other products, especially liquids will cling to this material and it becomes very difficult if not impossible to get it back to it’s glory days.
When it comes to the packaging of Milani blushes you know that it is not high end material but it also does not feel inexpensive or flimsy like Wet & Wild packaging. It does not have the, I am going to break at any minute feeling, which I greatly appreciate. Though their packaging can be a little clunky, it is still sleekly designed.
With 4.7 out of 5 Stars on Ulta with over 400 reviews this is definitely a solid formula with many people saying that the product has good pigmentation, easy to apply, blends well, long lasting and light weight.
As with the e.l.f brand, Milani can also be picked up at numerous other locations unlike Nars.
Now for a third of the price of the OG Nars Orgasm, L’Oreal has unveiled a color that is strikingly similar. This may be the dupe to end all other dupes. Earlier this year they released their summer collection and in that was the greatly named Blush Please in Blushin’ in Saint Tropez which is the dupe of Nars Orgasm, as well as their shade Blushin’ in Riviera which is a dupe for Nars Super Orgasm.
Blushin’ in Saint Tropez combines the peachy and pink color that so many love, with a few difference. L’Oreal’s version has quite a bit more shimmer to it making it a combination of blush and highlighter. Which is not a bad thing at all, it is the perfect combo for a late night date. Another difference is that it is quite a bit more pigmented then Nars Orgasm. So if you like the subtle glow from within that the OG provides then I recommend a lighter application then normal to achieve the same results.
If you are going to pick any of these dupes I would highly recommend this one, for a third of the price you are getting a very similar product that provides the same results. Any other Nars Orgasm Dupes that you swear by? Let us know in the comments below!
