Yeah...it's true this is an amazing dupe!
We have all heard about the holy grail that is Oribe dry texturizing spray, it is a cult classic. It instantly provides that perfectly messy tousled hair look, the one that nobody wakes up with.
It was one of the first of it’s kind on the market which instantly helped generate it’s cult status. Beloved by everyone from the girl next door to the celebrity hairstylists at the Met Gala. It is Oribe’s best selling product, and took over 70 formula revisions to perfect.
This product helps provide volume, grip when doing updo’s or braids, and texture, without leaving the tell tale sign of most dry shampoos….white residue. Also it smells heavenly.
This product is all around amazing…..however like anything too perfect there is a downsize. The cost, it rings in at $46 USD, which is quite steep for a hair product let’s be honest. The average millennial it paying down student loans a mile long and a $46 dollar hair product is just not feasible, understandably.
That’s where Salon Grafix SGX NYC comes into play. I was wondering through Target one day as I do quite often when I noticed on the very top of the shelf a new brand, or at least a brand I had not noticed before. To be honest it was the packaging that caught my attention and at $6.99 I figured I would give it a try.
I took it home and figured I would give it a try and woah was I in for a surprise.
The one thing I always loved about the Oribe Texturizing Spray was the smell, it was so light yet a beautiful fragrance that made my hair feel refreshed. I am not joking when I say these sprays smell identical. I was shocked. I do not think I could tell them apart by smell.
As for how it lasted, again almost identical. The main difference is the price points, the Oribe checks in at $46 USD while the Salon Grafix comes in at…..$6.99 USD. Yes, that is correct $6.99 USD.
I can not recommend this dupe enough, it is cost effective and looks just as nice on your counter. Oribe products are absolutely amazing that is not a lie, but the price point does not work for everyone.
Give it a try and let me know what you think, it has definitely become a staple in my hair products collection.
