Hearth & Hand with Magnolia | Target | $12.99
Every baker needs a good quality rolling pin, how else are you going to flatten the sugar cookie dough to the perfect quarter of inch without one. They are different variations of rolling pins but this classic rendition can do no wrong. With handles in the perfect spot providing sufficient grip and allowing your hands to stay mess free.
Hearth and Hand with Magnolia are from what I understand an exclusive line to Target, created by none other then Joann and Chip Gaines. If you have not checked out this line I recommend you head on over, it is the perfect blend of farmhouse meets modern and the prices are fantastic for the quality. Anything you pick up from this line will be a crowd favorite for the baker in your life.

Cookie Cake Pan | Williams Sonoma | $19.99
Why not? I think everyone regardless of baking status should own one of these. I mean look at it. You can make a GIANT Oreo cookie, show me one person who does not want a giant Oreo cookie in their house, I’ll wait.
This is one of those products you see and you want to be confused by it, wondering what the hell you are going to do with it but at the same time you are like, “yeah, I need that”. It’s going to be a pain to store in your house, but like, it’s a head turner, and for nineteen dollars can you say no.
Complete transparency, I ordered this half way through writing this post simply because I need to say that I can make a giant cookie in my house when ever I damn well please. No other reason. I am an avid baker, love everything about it, except for cleaning up after, and I know how excited I am for this to come in the mail so I know who ever you give this too will be so excited.

Farberware Colorvive 4 Pack | Macy’s | $29.99
Not quite sure of what they have and what they don’t have in their baking cabinets? No worries, that’s where presents like these come in clutch. You can never and I repeat never have too many baking pans. When bakers start going rolling out their cookies, getting ready to place them on baking sheets, nothing is more frustrating to them then running out of pans to put them on.
Gifts like these will never not come in handy. They are the basic pieces that every baker needs and will need multiple of. What makes these extra jolly is that they come in three vibrant color options, I am a big fan of the purple color. Plus these pops of color will make their Instagram feed so much more festive, do it for the gram.

Wilton Gel Icing | Micheal’s | $16
Gone are the days of having to add so much liquid food coloring that the batter would get to runny and no matter how much you added the color would still be a pale imitation. I have a large collection of Wilton Gel icing and I can say that it is a show stopper. The tiniest amount goes a long way, honestly, I will stick a toothpick into the gel icing then dip the toothpick into the batter and the smallest amount turns the mixture into a gorgeous consistent pastel. Add more and you have as vibrant of a color as you need. These gels are great.
Pro tip: You can also use these to “paint” onto sugar paper and then cut those out to place on cakes as your very own stickers. Mix with lemon juice and now you have watercolor. These gels are versatile and is a necessity to any baker in your life. They will thank you tremendously.

Wilton High and Low Turntable | Walmart | $21.97
I never saw the importance of a turn table, I always thought of it as another item that I would have to store somewhere and I would never pull it out because it would be cumbersome. I own three now. So hear me out, the person that makes cakes two times a year, not really a need for them, would definitely take up unnecessary space. Now the baker in your life that is making multiple cakes a year, making homemade cake and frosting and adding decorations, that is a person that will benefit from a turn table.
A turntable allows you to apply and smooth on frosting ten times faster and easier, with less of a mess and cleaner lines. A turntable allows you to easily and effectively maneuver a cake around your kitchen. The great thing about this is that it is adjustable. At home I have a standard plastic one, A nicer quality metal one and lastly a Wilton tilt and turn that allows me to place the cake at an angle. An avid baker may not need three but they definitely need one.
